Quartz Countertop Price in Dubai per Linear Metre
We can't give you one honest price per linear metre for quartz in Dubai. Our market reference has no reliable per-metre range for quartz, and a made-up figure would mislead you. What we can show is what the price is made of, which items move it most, and how the worktop fits into the kitchen budgets quoted in Dubai in 2026. With those, you can read any quote line by line.
A countertop is also rarely priced alone. It is measured on site, cut in a workshop and fitted after the cabinets are level. Its cost depends on the kitchen around it.
What a linear-metre price for quartz includes
A linear metre is the length of the run along the wall, at a standard depth of about 600 mm. Two quotes can both say "per linear metre" and still cover different things. Before comparing them, check what is inside each figure:
- Slab material. Quartz is an engineered stone, so price varies with the collection, colour, pattern and whether the veining runs through the slab.
- Thickness. Slabs are commonly offered in 20 mm and 30 mm. A thicker look can also be built with a mitred or laminated edge, which adds fabrication work.
- Fabrication. Cutting to template, polishing edges, cutouts for the hob and sink, and a splashback or upstand.
- Transport and fitting. Lifting into the building, a service lift booking, fixing, silicone and joints.
- Template visit. Measuring after the base cabinets are installed, not from the drawings.
If a quote lists only "quartz, per metre", ask what is not in it. Cutouts, upstands and installation are the usual gaps.
What pushes the price up or down
The same 3-metre kitchen can land in very different places. These are the factors that move a quartz worktop quote, roughly in order of impact:
- Slab choice. Plain colours and a plain surface sit at the lower end. Strong veining, large-format slabs and premium collections cost more. Veined designs also waste more material because the pattern has to be matched.
- Layout and joints. A single straight run is cheaper than an L-shape, a U-shape or an island. Each corner adds cutting and a joint to place with care.
- Edge profile. A straight polished edge is the base. Bevelled, rounded or mitred edges take more labour.
- Cutouts and sink type. A hob cutout is standard. An undermount sink, drainer grooves or a waterfall end panel add work.
- Splashback. A full-height quartz splashback uses more slab than a short upstand, but it avoids tile joints behind the hob.
- Access. Upper floors, a narrow lift and long carry routes in a tower add handling cost.
Slab waste matters more than most people expect. Slabs come in fixed sizes, so a run that needs a slab and a half is paid for as two. A designer who plans the cuts before ordering can often save a slab.
Kitchen budgets quoted in Dubai in 2026
Because a worktop is one part of a kitchen, it helps to see where it sits. These are typical ranges quoted in Dubai in 2026 for a complete kitchen. They are not countertop prices, and they vary with size, cabinetry and appliances.
| Kitchen type | Typical range (AED) | What mostly drives it |
|---|---|---|
| Straightforward update | from about 15,000 | Fronts, worktop and fittings, no layout change |
| Apartment, basic | 20,000–50,000 | Modular cabinets, simple worktop |
| Apartment, mid-range | 50,000–120,000 | Better cabinetry, stone worktop, new plumbing and electrics |
| Apartment, luxury | 120,000–250,000+ | Custom joinery, premium stone, integrated appliances |
| Villa, basic | 45,000–80,000 | Larger area, standard finishes |
| Villa, mid-range | 80,000–150,000 | Longer runs, island, stone worktop |
| Villa, luxury | 150,000–250,000+ | Custom design, large stone surfaces |
| Custom or premium kitchen | 120,000+ | Bespoke cabinetry and premium appliances |
These figures are 5% VAT-exclusive or inclusive depending on the source, so confirm that on any quote. VAT in the UAE is 5% and shows on the contractor's invoice. For the full breakdown of a kitchen budget, see our guide to kitchen renovation cost in Dubai.
Ask for the worktop as separate lines: material, fabrication, cutouts, splashback, installation. A single "per metre" figure hides what you are actually paying for, and it makes two quotes impossible to compare.
Three typical cases
Galley kitchen in a studio or 1BR
One or two straight runs, one hob cutout, one sink. Few joints and little waste. This is the simplest worktop to price, and it usually fits the basic to mid-range apartment budgets above.
L-shaped kitchen with a breakfast bar
A corner joint, a bar overhang that needs support, and more edge length. A veined slab here needs pattern matching at the corner. Expect the worktop to be a larger share of the budget.
Villa kitchen with an island
Long runs, an island that may need two slabs, an undermount sink and often a waterfall end. Handling and installation take more time, and slab planning decides how much material you buy. This sits in the villa mid-range to luxury bands.
Quartz or something else
Quartz is non-porous, so it resists stains better than natural stone and needs no sealing. It is not heat-proof: hot pans should go on a trivet. If you are weighing it against natural stone, read our comparison of quartz vs granite countertops in Dubai kitchens. The cabinet type under the worktop also affects the budget, which we cover in custom, modular or IKEA kitchen cabinets.
How we price and fit a quartz worktop
We survey first: we measure, photograph the kitchen and agree the brief and budget. The quote is itemised, and the price and timeline are fixed in the contract with no extras beyond the quote. The countertop template is taken once the base cabinets are in place, because a worktop cut from drawings often does not meet the real walls. Dubai walls are rarely perfectly straight.
A single kitchen typically takes 2–4 weeks on site as a rough guide, and the worktop is one of the last items to go in. If your building requires a NOC for noisy or plumbing work, we prepare and submit the documents. See Dubai renovation permits and NOC for what that involves. You can also see the kitchen renovation service and the pricing page.
Don't chase a per-metre number. Fix the layout, choose the slab and edge, and ask for a quote that splits the worktop into material, fabrication, cutouts and fitting. A measured, itemised quote is the only reliable price for your kitchen.

How is a quartz countertop measured in Dubai?
Usually by the linear metre along the wall at a standard depth of about 600 mm, or by square metre of slab used. Islands, splashbacks and corners are counted separately, so ask how the supplier measures before comparing quotes.
Is the countertop included in a kitchen renovation price?
Only if the quote says so. Typical complete-kitchen ranges quoted in Dubai in 2026 run from about AED 20,000–50,000 for a basic apartment kitchen to AED 120,000–250,000+ at the top end, but check that the worktop, cutouts and fitting are listed.
Does the template get taken before or after the cabinets are fitted?
After. Base cabinets must be installed and levelled first, so the worktop is cut to the real walls and not to the drawings. This avoids gaps and re-cutting.
Does quartz need a NOC in Dubai?
The worktop itself rarely does, but the kitchen work around it, such as plumbing changes or noisy demolition, may need building approval. Check with your building management or owners' association, and we can prepare the documents for you.
